Our fitness center boasts a training area of 12,000

All of our personal trainers, led by Fitness Director Jefferson Biehl, are certified through nationally recognized organizations. Whether you are a novice or experienced athlete, training for your first 5K or marathon, riding in the MS 150 from Houston to Austin, or looking to lose a few extra pounds, the MACAC and MAC for Women offer several fitness instruction options that will help you get fit!

You can work one-on-one with one of our highly qualified personal trainers or take advantage of one of our two fitness orientation programs where we design a fitness routine that you can follow on your own.

Complementary program for MAC members designed to start your fitness journey on the right foot!
Program consists of 5 appointments with our Fitness Staff. Book a spot at the Front Desk!

 

1st Appt: General Health & Physical Screening

  • A conversation regarding your past/current health, blood pressure, body composition/measurements, checking your current weight, exercise heart rate intensities using the Karvonen Heart Rate Formula, Zibrio balance assessment, and cardio equipment orientation

2nd Appt: Movement Screen

  • Total body movement screen comprises 5 simple movements to discover where you may have tightness/asymmetries.

3rd Appt: Stretch & Stabilization Exercises

  • Create a personalized flexibility plan to help alleviate tightness/asymmetries you may be experiencing! We’ll also go over stabilization & corrective exercises that may help reactivate inactive muscles.

4th Appt: Strength Training

  • Create a personalized strength training program designed to help reach your fitness goals!

5th Appt: Accountability Sessions

  • Consists of re-measuring your blood pressure, weight, body composition. We’ll also go over your exercise programming & answer questions!

Personal Training programs are for anyone having difficulty meeting their goals due to lack of discipline, time constraints or simply not knowing where to start. All MACAC personal trainers are nationally certified, CPR certified and have at least one year of experience as a fitness instructor. The personal trainer helps the member obtain their fitness goals safely and efficiently by providing expert fitness information.
